I began working at Monclova Christian Academy in 2000. I have taught Bible, science, math, technology, study skills, history, life decisions, home economics, and even art! I have taught elementary, junior high, and senior high school classes. I have served as the learning lab coordinator, Arrows homeschool coordinator, academic coordinator, and now minister in the role of education coordinator. I love working with our students as they make college and career plans as well as ensuring they are ready for graduation. I support our teachers, manage the technology resources of our school, and assist in selecting our curriculum.
I graduated from Eastern Michigan University and most recently have taken a masters level technology in education course through Cedarville University. My husband is a deacon at Monclova Road Baptist Church where I serve in the sound and projector ministry. Our daughter, Brianna, is an early childhood and special education major at Cedarville University and our son, Scott, attends Monclova Christian Academy.
I asked Christ to be my Savior in 1994 on Easter Sunday Morning at a small country Baptist church--the church where my in-laws raised my husband. My husband and I immediately joined Monclova Road Baptist church and have served in a variety of ministries since that special day. I consider it a privilege to teach in a school where Christ is at the center of everything we do.
